The delegation, comprising Trade, Science and Technology Department, and staff from the Embassy in India, worked with the Center for Advanced Models.
Among them, two prominent solutions with high practical implementation potential include:
1. Energy consumption monitoring and optimization system using the Internet of Things:
Currently being implemented in an Indian textile company, the system uses smart sensors and an online dashboard to monitor the real-time electricity consumption of each machine, detect anomalies, and issue warnings. In Vietnam, this solution can help factories save energy, prevent equipment damage, and reduce production costs – especially in energy-intensive industries such as textiles, footwear, wood processing, and plastics.
Indian startups are presenting their solutions to the delegation.
2. Computer-aided visual inspection (AI-powered visual inspection): uses industrial cameras and AI algorithms to detect defects and check product dimensional accuracy in real time with extremely low error margins (less than 50 microns). This application is particularly useful in the precision engineering, automotive and motorcycle components, and electronics industries, helping to improve quality, reduce reliance on manual labor, and increase competitiveness in exports.
Other notable solutions implemented by the Centre of Excellence in India include: a diesel fuel consumption monitoring and analysis system; a factory timekeeping system using cameras; a predictive maintenance system to reduce downtime; AI-powered scrap monitoring combined with CCTV; intelligent design suggestions in the jewelry industry; real-time production data management using electronic logs; and multi-camera AI-powered quality inspection of automotive parts. Interested businesses are welcome to view details in the attached list.
The Vietnamese Trade Office in India will continue to connect and promote cooperation in testing and transferring suitable technologies to Vietnamese businesses, contributing to the industrialization, modernization, and development of smart manufacturing in the country.
