Make Party cell activities more flexible and of better quality

Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee's Organization Committee Nguyen Hong Nhat said that thanks to good study and dissemination work, Party committees at all levels, Party organizations, cadres and Party members are all clearly aware of the meaning and importance of Party cell activities, clearly identifying the main goals and solutions to improve the quality of Party cell activities stated in Project No. 11-DA/TU.

Thanks to that, the awareness of Party committees, Party cells and Party members about the meaning and importance of Party cell activities and improving the quality of Party cell activities has many positive changes.

Regular activities are maintained in order; the content of activities is carefully prepared, directly addressing new, difficult, urgent issues that require focused leadership and direction, meeting practical requirements.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Nhat said that Party committees, Party organizations and most cadres and Party members highly appreciated the issuance of Project No. 11-DA/TU as accurate, correct, truly effective, and put into practice. Many Party committees and organizations have had new models, good, creative, and effective ways of doing things, overcoming monotony and formality in Party cell activities.

The results of the evaluation and classification of the quality of Party cells and Party members who have completed their tasks well or better each year reached 93%. Most of the specific objectives of the project have been achieved and basically achieved, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization, building a clean and strong Party, meeting the requirements and tasks set forth.

However, the Organizing Committee of the City Party Committee also said that the organization of thematic activities in some places is still formal; promoting democracy in Party cell activities has not been fully implemented, and there is still a reluctance to speak up, especially among young Party members (an average of 5 opinions/meeting).

Recording the content of activities does not accurately reflect the progress and number of party members attending, causing difficulties in party member management.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong commended, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and results of the units in the 3 years of implementing Project No. 11-DA/TU.

He emphasized that improving the quality of Party cell activities, enhancing leadership capacity and solving problems at the grassroots level is very important.

In the coming time, he suggested that units continue to focus on reviewing and evaluating the types of Party cells to focus on removing practical obstacles. Each Party cell has different characteristics, so there is no common denominator for all. Therefore, units must uphold the Party's principles, but need to be flexible with the practical situation of each Party cell and locality; if there are difficulties or obstacles when implementing the project, they need to make recommendations to superiors.

Comrade Nguyen Van Phong also suggested that the City Party Committee's Organization Board coordinate with the City Party Committee's Propaganda Board and localities to select effective and typical models of Party cell activities to compile into documents for dissemination to other Party cells for reference. For localities and affiliated Party Committees, strengthen training and fostering for Party cell secretaries on Party cell activities.
