Following the 10th grade exam in Hue, images of a math exam with a total score of 11 points circulated on social media, causing confusion among many students. The Department of Education and Training confirmed that the official exam was only worth 10 points.

On the afternoon of May 27th, after the Math exam in the 10th grade entrance exam in Hue , a verified Facebook page unexpectedly posted an image allegedly showing the Math exam paper with 8 questions and a total score of 11. This information quickly caused a stir, leading many candidates and parents to question why the exam paper's total score exceeded the regulations.

In the comments section, many candidates shared images of the actual exam paper to clarify the situation. According to these images, the official Math exam only consisted of 7 questions, with a total of 10 points.

Later that evening, in an interview with Tri Thuc - Znews , Mr. Nguyen Tan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hue City, affirmed that the 10th grade math exam issued by the department contained no errors, consisted of 7 questions, and had a total score of 10.

An exam with 8 questions and a total score of 11 has been circulating online.

Representatives from the Hue City Department of Education and Training also stated that the verified Facebook page circulating the image of the 11-point exam paper is not affiliated with their department.

Currently, the Hue City Department of Education and Training has requested the police to investigate the incident and will soon issue an announcement to avoid causing public panic.

The 10th grade entrance exam in Hue took place from May 27th to 29th. Candidates applying to public high schools had to complete three compulsory subjects: Mathematics (90 minutes), Literature (120 minutes), and a Foreign Language (60 minutes), with the choice of English, French, or Japanese.

Candidates applying to Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted will take an additional specialized subject exam according to their chosen major.

According to the Hue City Department of Education and Training, this year's exam has 18,002 registered candidates, an increase of more than 5,000 compared to last year. The education sector has arranged 48 examination centers with 765 examination rooms to facilitate the organization of the exam.

The results of the entrance exams for 10th grade in public high schools are expected to be announced at the end of June or the beginning of July 2026, in line with the schedule of the 2026 high school graduation exam.
