Can Tho City Tax Department focuses on reviewing and standardizing tax identification numbers.

(CT) - Closely following the Government's Project 06 on the development of population data and national digital transformation, Can Tho City Tax Department has completed the integration of 100% of its applications on the Tax Public Service Portal and eTax Mobile with the VNeID electronic identification system. Taxpayers can use their VNeID accounts to log in, authenticate, and perform tax administrative procedures online, replacing traditional paper documents. To date, Can Tho City Tax Department has successfully reviewed and standardized over 99.93% of individual tax identification number data requiring processing; of which, approximately 59.24% have been synchronized and matched correctly with individual identification codes.

The city's tax authority is implementing a campaign called "Cleaning up tax identification numbers - removing bottlenecks in business" to clean up and standardize tax identification number data; minimize the situation where taxpayers cease operations but have not completed the procedures for terminating their tax identification numbers. The campaign also aims to strictly control newly generated documents, limit the processing of dissolution and business termination applications, contribute to removing bottlenecks in investment, production, and business activities, and prevent and deter acts of exploiting legal entities to violate tax, invoice, and financial laws.
