With the increasing number of vehicles on the road, coupled with inadequate infrastructure, ensuring traffic safety has become an urgent concern, especially for students.

In reality, traffic violations by students are still quite common, especially at the secondary and high school levels, who ride electric bicycles, electric motorbikes, and motorbikes to school even though they are not yet of legal age. Many students do not wear helmets; they ride in parallel rows, speed recklessly, and swerve, making traffic accidents very likely.

According to Mr. Phan Duc Tien, Chief of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee Office, students are at high risk of traffic accidents because they are not yet aware of how to travel safely, and they also lack the ability to regulate their emotions, so they get excited and drive without thinking about the dangers lurking ahead.

Traffic accidents have a serious impact on the health, education, and future of children, and leave lasting consequences for families, schools, and society. This situation is truly alarming and requires the attention of the entire society, especially the maximum utilization of parental responsibility.

To achieve this, parents need to focus on educating their children about traffic laws from a young age. When dropping off or picking up their children, they should park in designated areas and avoid parking on the road, which causes traffic congestion.

Parents should absolutely not allow their underage children to drive motorcycles. Even if they are old enough but do not have a driver's license, parents should not let their children ride motorcycles on the road. Parents must also set a good example by wearing helmets when riding motorcycles and require their children to do the same, even for short distances.

For the sake of their children's future, parents should abandon the mindset of leaving everything to the school or authorities. First and foremost, parental care and education will ensure the health and psychological development of children. In addition, authorities should focus on addressing violations that pose a risk of traffic accidents to students.

Students who violate traffic regulations will be notified to the school and their families so that appropriate disciplinary measures and educational approaches can be implemented. In particular, strict action will be taken against parents who violate traffic safety regulations near schools, such as stopping or parking illegally on the road; driving in the wrong lane; not wearing helmets; and failing to observe traffic when changing direction…
