As the FIFA World Cup 2026 approaches, the question of enjoying the planet's biggest football event in a civilized, professional, and transparent manner has become an essential requirement.
Beyond simply cheering in the stands, football culture is also reflected in how fans choose their viewing sources. "Watch correctly - watch responsibly" is becoming the central message for the 2026 World Cup season.

Journalist Nguyen Quang Sang, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Television Center for the Southern Region, affirmed: "Vietnam Television (VTV) is the only unit in Vietnam that owns and implements the broadcasting rights of the tournament according to the copyright agreement and is the focal point for granting public screening licenses as regulated."
Besides broadcasting on television, the internet, and mobile devices, VTV is also the licensing authority for public screenings. This means that businesses wishing to organize commercial screenings, such as restaurants, cafes, cinemas, or shopping malls wanting to show football matches to customers, must obtain a legal license to become an "official screening venue."

During the discussion at the seminar, Mr. Le Phung Hao, a member of the Executive Board of the Ho Chi Minh City Intellectual Property Association, emphasized that copyright is not a barrier but a key to helping businesses build reputation and create a competitive advantage.

Meanwhile, Dr. Duong Duc Minh, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Economic and Tourism Development Research, affirmed: "When we watch football, our primary responsibility is to abide by the law, and it is also a way to fully enjoy the value of the event."
He further shared that the World Cup doesn't operate solely on the ball, but also on belief, broadcasting rights, legitimate funding, and the support of billions of viewers.

The revenue from broadcasting rights is what has helped upgrade and comprehensively develop the World Cup. In particular, today's World Cup is also the center of the "attention economy," where billions of eyes trigger an entire chain of services and goods.
The 2026 World Cup, with 48 teams and 104 matches, is expected to create a major boost for group football viewing activities, especially during nighttime hours.

Therefore, the message "Watch Right - Watch Clean" is a call for the fan community to change their habits, choosing to watch on official channels and at legal broadcasting points, which will contribute to creating a healthy competitive environment, protecting intellectual property rights, and promoting long-term economic growth in sports.
According to information from VTV, all matches of the 2026 World Cup, along with the opening and closing ceremonies and accompanying programs, will be broadcast in full on the station's system.
