Participating in the "Green Tick Responsibility" program, Saigon Co.op collaborated with approximately 80 suppliers, bringing 1,200 "green tick" certified products (mainly in the fresh produce category) to over 800 retail outlets nationwide. A representative from Bach Hoa Xanh stated that the company currently has a total of 1,558 products participating in the "Green Tick" program, with most items experiencing stable sales growth. At MM Mega Market, over 50 suppliers are participating, offering more than 220 "Green Tick" certified vegetable and fruit products, with sales maintaining a growth rate of approximately 20%...
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, although the "Responsible Green Tick" program has yielded many positive results, some suppliers and distribution systems are still hesitant to participate due to the strict criteria and standards. Therefore, in the coming time, the Department will continue to improve the operational mechanism, strengthen communication, and support the promotion and consumption of "green tick" products. At the same time, it will research more appropriate trade policies to encourage businesses to participate, aiming to build a safe, transparent, and sustainable goods market.
The "Responsible Green Tick" product quality control cooperation program was launched by the Steering Committee of the "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods" campaign in Ho Chi Minh City. The program aims to create a sustainable, safe, responsible, and transparent supply chain through close cooperation between suppliers, retailers, consumers, and government agencies. The program has received positive feedback and high praise from suppliers, who have implemented rigorous quality control procedures.
