On the evening of June 22nd, Tien Linh brilliantly scored another goal, bringing his total number of goals in the 2024-2025 V-League season to 14.
In the 36th minute of the match against Thanh Hoa at Binh Duong Stadium, Tien Linh made a spectacular diving header inside the penalty area, finding the back of the net for the visiting team from Thanh Hoa.
Tien Linh's 14th goal was the only goal of the match. The striker, born in 1997, secured the final three points for coach Nguyen Anh Duc this season.
Binh Duong FC finished in 7th place with 32 points. Tien Linh shared the top scorer award with 14 goals along with Lucas Vinicius (Hai Phong) and Alexandre Alan ( Hanoi Police).
In the top 10 highest-scoring players in the V-League 2024-2025, besides Tien Linh, only Nguyen Van Quyet remains a Vietnamese player. Van Quyet has 7 goals and ranks 10th.
Tien Linh's best performance was 15 goals in the 2018 season. He still fell short of coach Nguyen Anh Duc's record from the 2017 season, when Anh Duc scored 17 goals and won the prestigious award.
Tien Linh could also increase his goal tally this season. He will play with Binh Duong FC in the semi-final of the 2024-2025 National Cup against Song Lam Nghe An on June 26th in Vinh.
Although he hasn't shone for the Vietnamese national team, overall in domestic competitions, Tien Linh remains the most promising Vietnamese striker to compete with foreign players in the attacking line.
