The 2025 World Volleyball Championship will take place in Thailand from August 22 to September 7. In addition to the host country, Vietnam, China and Japan are the three remaining Asian representatives participating in the tournament.

In their first participation in the world championship, the Vietnamese team will be without their number one hitter Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen. In the official list of 13 athletes under the guidance of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy continues to play the role of team captain, alongside familiar faces such as Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Doan Thi Lam Oanh...

At this year's tournament, the Vietnamese team is in Group G with opponents Poland (ranked 3rd in the world), Germany (ranked 11th) and Kenya (ranked 23rd).

On August 20, the Vietnamese team won 4-0 in a friendly match against Kenya. In the absence of Bich Tuyen, Nhu Quynh became a bright spot with many important scoring moves.

The embarrassing defeat made Neymar cry. In the early morning of August 18, in the 20th round of the Brazilian National Championship, Santos suffered the heaviest defeat in the club's history when they were crushed by Vasco da Gama with a score of 0-6 at Morumbis Stadium.
