According to the Manchester Evening News , Manchester United will receive approximately £48.6 million after the end of the 2025/26 Premier League season. This is considered a significant financial boost for the Old Trafford club ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
Manchester United went through a period of instability in the middle of the season after the departure of manager Ruben Amorim, at a time when many feared the "Red Devils" could fall out of contention for a Champions League spot.
However, MU made a strong comeback in the final stages of the season to finish in the top 3 of the Premier League. This achievement not only secured a place in the Champions League but also brought in a significant amount of revenue from the league's prize money distribution.
The nearly £50 million that MU received is considered crucial as the team prepares for a major overhaul in the summer of 2026. The "Red Devils" management wants to significantly strengthen the quality of the midfield, while also adding depth to the squad to compete for titles next season.
Besides MU, champions Arsenal will receive the highest bonus, estimated at around £54 million after winning their first Premier League title since 2004. Meanwhile, runners-up Manchester City are expected to receive around £51.3 million.
Conversely, bottom-placed Wolves only pocketed around £2.7 million.
