In addition, according to forecasts from the National Center for Hydrometeorology, El Nino (a weather pattern that increases the risk of drought and many extreme weather events) has a 95% probability of returning from June, leading to increased heatwaves, higher temperatures, and unpredictable extreme weather events in the summer of 2026.
