This morning, April 21st, the Cua Viet Port Border Guard Station, in coordination with Gio Viet Primary and Secondary School (Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province) and the "For Children" Fund, organized the "Borderland Lesson" program and presented gifts to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

During the "Borderland Lesson" program, officers and soldiers of the Cua Viet Port Border Guard Station directly conveyed information on the position, role, and importance of Vietnam's seas and islands; the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on the East Sea issue; the political and security situation in the sea and island areas; and the results of the struggle to protect the sovereignty of Vietnam's seas and islands by the Party, State, and people.

The "Borderland Lesson" program aims to raise awareness among students about the potential and advantages of Vietnam's seas and islands in marine economic development; foster love for their homeland; and enhance the spirit of solidarity and sense of responsibility among the people, especially officials, teachers, and students, in the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the nation's seas and islands.

On this occasion, the "For Children" Fund awarded a scholarship worth 10 million VND to Mai Xuan Tien, a student in class 6C at Gio Viet Primary and Secondary School; and donated 30 cash gifts, sportswear , and helmets to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
