Why did singer Sofia's recent post cause such a stir?
On the evening of March 24th, Sofia unexpectedly shared on her personal page: "Am I an artist or a chicken?" The singer's status update immediately went viral on social media. Furthermore, in the comments section, she added: "I've tried so hard to keep things smooth. I really have tried. Now what do I have to do for you all to leave me alone?"
Sofia's post immediately caused a stir, being reposted on numerous music forums. Many questioned her relationship with her management company, while a few speculated that the young singer was creating a scandal to promote her new music.

Speaking to a reporter from Dan Viet, singer Sofia said: "I am in a confused and unstable state of mind. I am waiting for a resolution, but I have not yet received a response." She also affirmed: "I am not heartbroken, I am not seeking views or likes, and I am not preparing to release a new product. I only posted this plea for help as a last resort, but at this moment I can't say anything more."
Meanwhile, we contacted Sofia's manager, but she declined to comment on the matter. She also stated that it was a minor, private issue unrelated to the company.
Currently, Sofia is considered the number one protégé of musician Chau Dang Khoa. Speaking about his relationship with the female singer, Chau Dang Khoa once confessed: "Sofia had many choices, many other companies wanted to recruit Sofia. But Sofia chose to stay with Khoa after everything that happened, and that's something Khoa is very grateful for. Everyone knows how big Khoa's scandal was. And at that time, Khoa was very depressed, discouraged, and didn't want to do anything. At that time, Khoa also had quite a few trainees. Khoa shared with everyone: 'You guys can find a better and more suitable place, you can go, and only Sofia will stay.'"
The scandal involving Chau Dang Khoa occurred more than four years ago, when singers Orange and LyLy simultaneously announced their departure from his company, accompanied by shared accounts of disagreements over financial management and career development. Over time, these controversies have temporarily subsided.
Sofia Pham, whose real name is Dan Trang, was born in 2000. She is the daughter of the late artist Kim Loan, who passed away in April 2019 from liver cancer. The singer has participated in numerous music competitions to find opportunities to shine. In 2018, she won the Idol Singer competition. In January 2021, she released her debut product – the music video "Remembering Someone or Remembering..." – which garnered 25 million views on YouTube.
In May 2021, Sofia released the music video "It's Just My Bad Luck," which tells the story of a girl who secretly loves someone but faces obstacles due to her less-than-striking appearance and awkwardness. The song was written by songwriter Chau Dang Khoa based on Sofia's own real-life story. The singer said she received many negative comments about her appearance and was told that she would have difficulty going far in her career despite having a good voice.
In March 2023, after a concert at a famous tea house in Hanoi , Sofia attracted public attention when she shared on her personal page that she burst into tears because she was criticized about her weight and had to end her performance earlier than planned.
