'I love teaching'

On November 11, Hanoi held a ceremony to honor typical advanced teachers and exemplary teachers who have been and are devoted to the teaching profession, on the occasion of November 20 - Vietnam Teachers' Day. Also on this occasion, 11 groups and 44 cadres and teachers were awarded certificates of merit by the Prime Minister .

Always remind yourself why you started

At the ceremony, teacher Nguyen Van Hoa confided that with 32 years of education , he always had the thought of building a school so that every day when students go to school, they do not have to be afraid, but receive love, and feel joy and happiness.

Mr. Hoa is one of the leading teachers in building "happy schools", focusing on many activities for students to experience, hone skills, form core values, and focus on building a friendly and open school environment.

As a soldier who returned and has been involved in education for nearly 40 years, including 32 years building the school, Mr. Hoa shared that there were many difficulties, but every time he faced an obstacle, he always reminded himself why he started? Because of his passion to contribute, for education, for generations of students.

"As long as that passionate heart remains, it will find its way. And I love teaching," said Mr. Hoa.

Also at the ceremony, another sharing by Ms. Cao Thi Thu Hien moved many people. Ms. Hien is a teacher at Phuong Mai Kindergarten, and has been in the profession for 25 years.

Having suffered from a serious illness, when the doctor informed her of her condition, she collapsed and thought her life was about to end.

"I thought of my son who needed me to be strong, and of the children I was taking care of. My love for the job at that moment was brighter than ever.

I had two choices, stop or move on. And I chose to move on. There was a period when I had to overcome the pain of illness to do the daily work of a kindergarten teacher, prepare lesson plans, design new lessons.

"When I witness the changes every day, the growth of the children, I feel like I am given more strength to overcome the disease. I realize that when I live fully with what I love, any difficulty can be overcome. As long as there is love in the heart, the light will be found" - Ms. Hien recalls.

Applying technology to teaching

Hanoi currently has nearly 3,000 preschool and general schools with more than 2.3 million students, the largest in the country, and nearly 140,000 teachers.

Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that Hanoi is at the forefront of mass and spearhead education quality, implementing innovation goals. Especially leading in digital transformation, applying technology to teaching and educating students.

In which, the efforts, constant innovation and creativity of teachers are the decisive factors to achieve the current achievements.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, affirmed that Hanoi will soon issue an action program to implement Resolution No. 71 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development, Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, creating momentum for the capital's education to make a breakthrough, while paying more attention to the teaching staff. Any difficulties raised by teachers will be focused on solving, not avoided.

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son expressed his hope that Hanoi would promote its existing achievements and continue to make efforts to not only achieve its set goals but also be a locomotive to lead and spread good practices and models of smart and modern education for education across the country, especially in the field of digital capacity.

The Minister also hopes that the capital's teachers will not only be intelligent and have good teaching skills, but also be examples of culture, elegance, and exemplary character.
