Having lived in Tay Ninh for 16 years, Mrs. Nguyen Anh Mai (born in 1951) finally had the opportunity to return to her hometown in Thien Nhan commune ( Nghe An province). This time, she chose the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site as her first destination on her spring trip. “This is my third time visiting Uncle Ho’s hometown. The feeling remains the same, still as moving, nostalgic, and full of love and respect for Uncle Ho. Uncle Ho’s hometown has changed a lot, becoming more beautiful and spacious, but the thatched roof house remains simple and modest,” Mrs. Anh Mai shared.

For many young families, the New Year's pilgrimage is also an opportunity to educate their children about the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source." Ms. Ngu Thi Trang (born in 1989, residing in Binh Duong province) and her husband and two young children visited President Ho Chi Minh's birthplace during the spring season. She said she wanted her children to see firsthand where President Ho Chi Minh was born and raised, so they could understand how a great man was nurtured from a poor village. "The lessons in books will become more vivid when the children experience it firsthand like this," Ms. Trang expressed.
