Over the past three decades, political and diplomatic relations have been strengthened, economic and trade cooperation has seen positive developments, but there is still much room for development. The two countries can play a connecting role in the Central Asia and ASEAN regions.

The Kyrgyz Prime Minister was moved by the warm welcome and hospitality that Vietnam gave the delegation from the moment they arrived in Hanoi.

He was deeply impressed by Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements and growing international position under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and wished to share Vietnam's development experience.

Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev said that Kyrgyzstan is a mountainous country and hopes to increase cooperation with Vietnam in protecting mountains.

Discussing directions, the two leaders agreed that the two countries have great potential to promote cooperative relations on the basis of harmonizing interests.

The two leaders emphasized the need to promote security and defense cooperation and strengthen transport connectivity, including air, rail, and logistics, connecting Vietnam and Southeast Asia with Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.

Regarding multilateral cooperation, the two sides agreed to increase contact and consultation, consider supporting each other's candidacies and initiatives at multilateral forums, including the United Nations and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Receiving the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, President Luong Cuong said that the visit is of great significance, opening a new page in the relationship between the two countries.

After listening to the President share about the achievements of the Doi Moi process and Vietnam's foreign policy, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev was very impressed by the strong development that Vietnam has achieved.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan conveyed a letter from President Japarov inviting President Luong Cuong to visit Kyrgyzstan.

The President said that Vietnam supports and is ready to act as a bridge for Kyrgyzstan to expand relations with countries in the Southeast Asian region as well as with the ASEAN organization.

Regarding the East Sea, the President emphasized the importance of maritime security and safety and asked Kyrgyzstan to support the stance of ASEAN and Vietnam regarding the East Sea, on the basis of compliance with international law, especially the United Nations Charter and UNCLOS 1982.

Meeting with the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the signing of the document by both sides creates a framework for promoting comprehensive and effective development cooperation.
