On the afternoon of March 17th, the Ministry of Finance announced the progress of the general inventory of public assets as of 5 PM on March 16th.
According to the inventory software, as of the above date, there are still 2 organizations that have not registered their inventory items: the Vietnam Writers Association and the Central Association of the Blind of Vietnam.
One agency (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), two organizations (Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front), and five localities (Quang Tri province, Son La province, Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong province, Khanh Hoa province) have not yet completed the registration of items for inventory.
Regarding fixed asset reporting, three agencies/organizations have not yet submitted reports: the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Vietnam Writers Association, and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry. Fourteen central agencies and eleven localities have reporting rates below the national average (below 80%). Additionally, ten organizations have not accessed the inventory progress reporting function on the software.
According to the plan, from January 1st to March 31st, 2026, units will conduct on-site inventories and submit reports to their superior management agencies before March 31st, 2026. Ministries, sectors, and localities must complete and submit their consolidated reports to the Ministry of Finance before May 31st, 2026; the nationwide consolidated report will be finalized in July 2026.
