In 2024, the number of tourists served by accommodation establishments in Da Nang is estimated to reach nearly 10.9 million, an increase of 32.8% compared to 2023.

On December 27th, at the conference to implement the Da Nang tourism development plan for 2025, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, stated that in 2024, the number of domestic and international tourists served by Da Nang's accommodation establishments is estimated to reach nearly 10.9 million (an increase of 32.8% compared to 2023).

Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel in 2024 is estimated to reach over 31 trillion VND (an increase of 22.1% compared to 2023, equivalent to 146% compared to 2019, and exceeding the 2024 plan by 10.8%).

Currently, there are 23 flight routes to Da Nang (7 domestic and 16 regular international routes). In 2024, two airlines will operate flights to Da Nang for the first time: Malaysia Airlines (operating the Kuala Lumpur – Da Nang route) and Hong Kong Airlines (operating the Hong Kong (China) – Da Nang route); a charter flight from Jakarta (Indonesia) will also be launched, with an average frequency of 111 flights per day to Da Nang (including 52 international and 59 domestic flights).

In 2024, Da Nang is expected to welcome 41,000 cruise tourists (a 122% increase compared to 2023).

Da Nang's tourism sector has completed the synchronization of information, data, and the interface of the Danang Fantasticity application on both Android and iOS operating systems with the Da Nang Tourism Portal; implemented VR360 virtual reality technology in phase 3 and developed the Vrmall feature. The Da Nang Department of Tourism was ranked 2nd out of 24 departments (excellent category) in digital transformation in 2023, and ranked 2nd in the Departmental Competitiveness Index (DDCI).

In 2025, Da Nang aims to welcome over 11.9 million domestic and international tourists (a 10% increase compared to 2024, and 149% compared to 2019). Revenue from accommodation, food, and travel services in 2025 is targeted to reach over 36 trillion VND (an increase of over 15% compared to 2024, and 169% compared to 2019).

Information presented at the conference also indicated that the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025 (DIFF 2025), themed "Da Nang - A New Era," conveys the message of 50 years of integration and development in Da Nang. It is expected to take place from May 31st to July 12th, 2025, with 10 competing teams and 6 nights of performances.

DIFF 2025 will feature 10 competing teams from Poland, Finland, Portugal, the UK, South Korea, Italy, Canada, China, and two teams from host country Vietnam. This is also the first time in DIFF history that there has been the largest number of competing teams (especially the two teams from South Korea and China, two countries among the top 10 markets with the most tourists visiting Da Nang).
