President Biden is scheduled to travel to Germany from October 10-12 to attend a four-way summit with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The US leader also plans to hold a meeting with pro-Ukrainian allies to discuss continued support for Kiev in the current conflict.
However, the US leader later decided to stay in Washington to direct the response to super storm Milton when the storm made landfall in Florida.
And so, according to sources, Mr. Biden will continue his trip to Germany as planned on October 18 and stay for 1 day.
German media reported that Mr. Biden will meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Spiegel also reported on the US President's new schedule in Germany, saying that preparations for the meetings were already underway.
According to informed sources, Mr. Biden's visit will not be an official state visit but will be narrower in scope, focusing on attending the joint work that the two sides are doing.
The discussions during President Biden's meetings with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will revolve around conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
