Tottenham makes bid for Grealish.

Tottenham have submitted their first offer to Manchester City for midfielder Jack Grealish.

Grealish has lost his place at Man City.

Transfer news journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Tottenham's offer is around £40 million. This move comes shortly after Grealish was left out of Manchester City's final squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.

According to the Telegraph , this also almost confirms that the English midfielder will no longer be a Manchester United player next season.

Tottenham are looking for a new left winger under new manager Thomas Frank, and Grealish is one of their top targets. Spurs already have Mathys Tel, who joined the team in January, in that position.

Tottenham are also wary of captain Son Heung-min leaving the team this summer. If that happens, Spurs would have a very thin attacking line and lack a star player. Adding a proven player like Grealish would be considered necessary.

Grealish was once considered one of the brightest stars in English football, and a move to Tottenham could be the necessary turning point for him to rediscover his peak form.
