Ho Chi Minh City: 4/7 real estate projects have found ways to overcome difficulties

The above information was reported by the Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association (HoREA) on March 1.

According to Notice No. 99/TB-VP dated February 22, 2023 of the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on "Conclusion of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong at the meeting to listen to reports on resolving difficulties and problems at real estate projects in the city" on February 20, these 4 directed projects must urgently report on progress and specific handling within 1-2 weeks.

Regarding the Project of Commercial Center and Luxury Apartments on Ben Nghe Street, Tan Thuan Dong Ward, District 7 (investor: Gotec Vietnam Company), the leaders of the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to have a report before March 10 stating clearly the review and settlement process, the "licenses granted" at the project up to now; analyze and evaluate specific problems and advise to propose solutions...

Regarding the Cuu Long Apartment Project at No. 1, Ton That Thuyet Street, Ward 1, District 4 (Saigon Cuu Long Investment and Production Joint Stock Company is the investor), the City assigned the Department of Finance and the Department of Enterprise Finance to urgently review and study the opinions of the Department of Construction and the opinions expressed at the meeting, coordinate to respond to the Department of Construction to update and resolve the next procedures of the project according to their authority. The Department of Finance and the Department of Enterprise Finance shall send a report to the Department of Construction and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee before March 5.

Project No. 2 Ton That Thuyet, District 4

Regarding the Thien Ly Housing Project in Phuoc Long B Ward, Thu Duc City (An Thien Ly Construction and Service Co., Ltd. is the investor), the City's document requests urgent removal and resolution of problems in the above project. The Department of Construction works with the Urban Development Department to reach consensus according to Official Dispatch 446 dated January 19, 2023 of the Department of Construction. Report the results to the City People's Committee before March 10.

Regarding the Co Giang Apartment Project in Co Giang Ward, District 1 (No Va Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company - Novaland is the investor), to completely resolve the difficulties and problems of this project and other investment projects to rebuild old, damaged, degraded apartments with similar legal nature, the Department of Construction shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Finance, the People's Committee of District 1 and relevant agencies and units to study the opinions of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment in Official Dispatch 10888 dated February 16, 2022, the opinions of the People's Committee of District 1 in Official Dispatch 338 dated February 13, 2023 and review the documents of the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment that have guided the City in implementing related problems. Prepare the content of the thematic meeting and submit it to the City People's Committee before March 15.

Thus, 4/7 projects that Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong directly reviewed have had specific handling and resolution directions.
