Ho Chi Minh City increases manpower to clear land for Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway

Ho Chi Minh City has increased human resources to Nhuan Duc, Phu Hoa Dong and Thai My communes to support these communes in compensating and clearing land for the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway Project.

Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Toan Thang has just signed 3 decisions to dispatch 18 officials to the communes of Nhuan Duc, Phu Hoa Dong and Thai My to support these communes in carrying out compensation and site clearance for the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway Project.

According to the decision, Nhuan Duc and Phu Hoa Dong communes will each receive 7 additional officials, and Thai My commune will receive 4 officials.

These officials belong to the Compensation and Site Clearance Board of Cu Chi district (old) and will work in the locality from September 22 to December 31, 2025.

The seconded officials are responsible for coordinating with the People's Committees of the communes to confirm the origin of the land, the legal status of real estate and assets attached to the land; appraising and advising on compensation, support and resettlement plans for the Project.

The reinforcement of forces aims to speed up site clearance progress, ensuring the implementation of the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway Project on schedule.

The Compensation, Support and Resettlement Project (Component Project 3) of the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway section through Ho Chi Minh City has a total investment of VND 5,052 billion.

The project is 24.7 km long, passing through the old Cu Chi district. According to the approved plan, the project will clear the land at once according to the scale of 6 expressway lanes, including the residential service road, Ring Road 3 intersection, Provincial Road 8 intersection and overpasses across the expressway.

When implementing the Project, 2,177 households were affected with an area to be recovered of 2,200,970 m2.

According to the plan, the main package of Component Project 1 (expressway construction) will start construction in January 2026. Therefore, Ho Chi Minh City is currently speeding up the site clearance progress to hand over to the investor.
