On the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday celebration (Buddhist calendar 2570), yesterday morning, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City organized a gathering of Buddhist dignitaries who are members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City residing in the city. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, delivered a speech at a meeting of Buddhist dignitaries on the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday Celebration, Buddhist Calendar 2570.
At the meeting, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh expressed her appreciation, recognition, and high regard for the pivotal role of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Ho Chi Minh City. Buddhist dignitaries who are members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City are considered a strong bridge, contributing to the crystallization of the spirit of great unity and harmony between religion and life.


The meeting acknowledged the bridging role of Buddhist dignitaries in strengthening national unity and harmony between religion and secular life.
City leaders hope that in the coming time, Venerable Monks, Nuns, and Buddhists in the area will continue to promote the spirit of unity and harmony, encourage Monks, Nuns, and Buddhists to live virtuous lives, and actively participate in movements and campaigns launched by the Fatherland Front , contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country into a new era.

On behalf of the Venerable Buddhist dignitaries, Venerable Thich Thien Tam expressed his joy and emotion at the city leaders' concern and emphasized that Buddhism will continue to mobilize Monks, Nuns, and Buddhists to effectively promote national unity, actively participate in social welfare policies, and work alongside the city in caring for disadvantaged and vulnerable people.
