Coastal accommodation is nearly fully booked.
According to reports, key tourism units and localities in the city have prepared to welcome a large number of domestic and international tourists for the holiday season, with the expectation that the city's tourism will gain further momentum for stronger growth. Key tourism communes and wards have proactively implemented urban beautification efforts, ensuring environmental hygiene, security, and service quality. Occupancy rates at accommodation establishments, especially in the Mui Ne - Ham Tien area, are nearing full capacity.
Hotels have proactively increased staffing, reviewed service systems, and improved service quality. Many establishments have simultaneously implemented measures to ensure food safety, prevent fires, and enhance hospitality. Restaurants and seafood businesses throughout the city have also stockpiled goods and clearly displayed prices to avoid price gouging that could damage the city's image.

Tourist facilities are ready to welcome guests.
As a key tourist area of Phan Thiet City, Mui Ne ward proactively implemented many important tasks before and during the holiday. Urban beautification, environmental sanitation, displaying the national flag, and ensuring tourism safety were carried out synchronously. The local government mobilized four inter-agency task forces with the participation of police, border guards, militia, and the Ham Tien - Mui Ne Tourist Area Management Board… to be on duty at key tourist spots such as the Flying Sand Dunes, Fishing Village, Hon Rom, and organized one mobile patrol team.
Mr. Bui Ngoc Lam, Chairman of the Mui Ne Ward People's Committee, said: "The entire ward has about 50 accommodation establishments, from hotels to homestays, ready to welcome guests. This year, the number of visitors on April 30th decreased slightly due to the national parade in Ho Chi Minh City, but from the May 1st holiday onwards, many hotels and resorts along the coast are fully booked, with occupancy rates reaching 95-99%. Authorities also regularly inspect food safety and hygiene, provide lifebuoys, place additional warning signs at beaches, and intensify efforts to raise awareness about preventing drowning… ensuring tourists have a safe and enjoyable holiday."
Strengthen inspections and maintain the image of a safe and civilized destination.
This year, Phan Thiet is even more vibrant with a series of events commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Phan Thiet - Binh Thuan (April 19, 1975 – April 19, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, taking place before and during the April 30th holiday. Provincial and city-level cultural, sports, and artistic activities are organized throughout the year to serve local residents and tourists, such as: a rally commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Thuan; a high-altitude fireworks display; a photo exhibition; the Phan Thiet City boat and bicycle races; art programs; entertainment activities; and a low-altitude fireworks display at NovaWord Phan Thiet… contributing to a joyful and exciting atmosphere throughout the city.
According to Mr. Nguyen Nam Long, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City, the city has implemented many comprehensive solutions to ensure that tourists have a convenient, safe, and memorable holiday from April 30th to May 1st in Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan.
The City People's Committee directed specialized departments and agencies to coordinate with the police in wards and communes to strengthen efforts in ensuring security, traffic safety, and a safe tourism environment. The focus is on urban beautification, launching simultaneous environmental sanitation campaigns, and conducting awareness campaigns linked to major political and cultural activities of the province and city. Authorities will inspect and strictly handle acts of commercial fraud and price gouging, especially at businesses serving tourists. Ensuring food safety and hygiene is also a top priority. Relevant units will conduct inspections of restaurants, eateries, and accommodation establishments to protect the health and rights of tourists.
The Management Board of key tourist areas such as Ham Tien - Mui Ne and Doi Duong - Tien Thanh is strengthening inspections, maintaining the landscape, public hygiene, and stabilizing service prices. Along with functional forces, units are managing traffic flow, arranging parking areas appropriately, controlling street vendors and sandboard rentals, etc., to prevent price gouging, harassment, and intimidation of tourists. The city is also reviewing and installing more signs and directional boards at tourist attractions, strengthening rescue efforts, and preventing drowning accidents at coastal beaches. Regular cleaning and waste collection activities are carried out to ensure a clean, beautiful, and civilized environment.
