Accordingly, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City assigned the Department of Health to assume the prime responsibility for coordinating with departments, agencies, mass organizations, People's Committees of districts and Thu Duc city to synchronously implement measures to prevent TCM epidemic according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health. In particular, focus on prevention and control in areas with high risk of disease spread such as: daycare centers, preschools, primary schools, residential areas/inns with many children.
Timely handling of outbreaks, limiting the spread. When children with HFMD need close monitoring, early detection of signs of worsening. Get ready for the collection and treatment of HFMD in accordance with the diagnosis and treatment guidelines of the Ministry of Health. Proactively respond when the epidemic situation is complicated.
The Department of Health cooperates with the Department of Education and Training and related units to inspect the disease prevention work at educational institutions and in the community; detect and isolate cases early, clean classrooms and clean the environment. In addition, directed the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC) to regularly monitor and supervise the updating of the list of cases and outbreaks on the infectious disease monitoring and management system in a full and timely manner, reflecting the actual epidemic situation of the locality.
