Xoi Farmstay is located in the middle of Lam Thuong valley with beautiful natural scenery and friendly Tay ethnic villages. Built in 2017, here, visitors can immerse themselves in rural life with activities such as cycling through green rice fields, trekking beside waterfalls and forests, swimming on bamboo rafts or participating in agricultural work such as harvesting rice, growing vegetables...

Ms. Hoang Thi Xoi - owner of Xoi Farmstay shared: "We prepare local dishes such as bamboo shoots, silver carp, capon, Lam Thuong duck, duck meat cake, fish sauce... with all fresh and clean ingredients, grown in the village for tourists to enjoy". Thanks to that, Xoi Farmstay is always crowded with guests, in 2024 alone, it welcomed over 500 guests, created jobs for 10 seasonal workers as well as consumed a large amount of agricultural products for people in the commune.
Grasping the needs of tourists for experiential tourism and green tourism, in recent times, Luc Yen district has developed a variety of typical tourism products and types, suitable to the local potential such as: building tourist attractions such as Lam Thuong, Tan Phuong, Lieu Do, Muong Lai, An Phu, Phan Thanh and neighboring communes with activities such as climbing Pu Lung Trang mountain; visiting, eating, bathing in Nam Chan waterfall; exploring Tham Duong cave; experiencing going to the forest to collect brown tubers to dye fabric; rowing Phai Luong rafts, cycling to explore local culture, fishing; growing flowers, corn and vegetables in the garden; bathing, soaking feet with ethnic medicinal leaves...
Here, visitors can also enjoy traditional, local cuisine and learn about festivals: Lang Xoa communal house in An Phu commune, Xo May in Muong Lai commune, Cac Keng in Khanh Thien commune, Pay Tai festival in Lam Thuong commune... with many unique and attractive activities. At the tourist destinations of Yen The town, To Mau, Tan Linh, Tan Lap, Khai Trung, the district also develops a variety of products and types of tourism such as: cave exploration combined with experiential and ecological tourism; community tourism in Khai Trung and Tan Lap communes.
Here, visitors can learn about traditional festivals: Dai Cai Temple in Tan Linh Commune, Suoi Tien Temple in To Mau Commune, visit the gem market in Yen The Town... To develop eco-tourism and green tourism products based on the value of local resources, Mr. Trieu Van Huan - Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Luc Yen District said: "The district has a plan to exploit and invest appropriately, build into a key tourism product to serve all year round in the direction of "Green, unique, attractive" such as adventure tourism - experiencing the values of high mountain terrain, exploring caves, tourist spaces including Diem Cave in Khai Trung Commune; Tham Luong Cave, Tham Duong Cave, Ban Kheo Cave in Lam Thuong Commune; Mo Ma Cave in Mai Son Commune; Hum Cave, Chua Sao Cave in Tan Lap Commune...".
Along with that, grasping the trend of tourists who like to seek natural environments and experience local culture, the district has mobilized resources to upgrade tourism infrastructure to areas and destinations; mobilized businesses and individuals to invest in building tourism service establishments. Currently, Luc Yen has 55 motels, hotels, homestays; in the center of the district, there is an area to display, create and sell souvenirs made from precious stones, white stones, and specialties of the district.
Identifying the development of green tourism as one of the key tasks of local economic development, Luc Yen aims to develop tourism with new experiences so that visitors can immerse themselves in the majestic natural landscape and traditional cultural space of ethnic minorities. At the same time, the district also cares about and creates favorable conditions for businesses to invest in the tourism sector, guides and supports local people to develop tourism, serving tourists all year round in the direction of "Green, unique, attractive".
Every year, the number of tourists coming to Luc Yen is increasing. In 2024 alone, the number of tourists coming to the district is over 106,000, of which 30,000 are international visitors; tourism revenue is 95.5 billion VND. In 2025, Luc Yen strives to welcome 110,000 visitors, of which 30,000 are international visitors; tourism revenue is estimated to reach over 96 billion VND. |
