Xới Farmstay is nestled in the beautiful Lam Thuong valley, surrounded by charming Tay ethnic villages. Built in 2017, visitors can immerse themselves in rural life with activities such as cycling through lush green rice fields, trekking alongside waterfalls and forests, rafting on bamboo boats, or participating in agricultural work like harvesting rice and planting vegetables.
Visitors can also experience Tay culture by learning to make conical hats, dye fabrics, and enjoy dishes with rich mountain flavors. Those who love adventure can explore caves and climb hills. Those who prefer tranquility can relax in their rooms, read books, arrange flowers, or soak their feet in herbal baths.
Ms. Hoang Thi Xoi, owner of Xoi Farmstay, shared: "We prepare local dishes such as bamboo shoots, catfish, capon, Lam Thuong duck, duck meatballs, fermented pork... with all ingredients being fresh and clean, grown and raised in the village for tourists to enjoy." Thanks to this, Xoi Farmstay is always busy, welcoming over 500 guests in 2024 alone, creating jobs for 10 seasonal workers and consuming a large amount of agricultural products for the local people.
Recognizing the demand for experiential and eco-tourism, Luc Yen district has developed a diverse range of unique tourism products and types that suit the local potential. These include: developing tourist destinations in Lam Thuong, Tan Phuong, Lieu Do, Muong Lai, An Phu, Phan Thanh, and neighboring communes with activities such as climbing Pu Lung Trang mountain; visiting, dining, and swimming at Nam Chan waterfall; exploring Tham Duong cave; experiencing the forest to collect brown roots for dyeing fabric; rafting at Phai Luong, cycling to explore local culture, and fishing; planting flowers, corn, and vegetables in the garden; and bathing and soaking feet in traditional herbal remedies.
Here, visitors can also enjoy traditional local cuisine and learn about festivals such as the Lang Xoa communal house in An Phu commune, the Xo May festival in Muong Lai commune, the Cac Keng festival in Khanh Thien commune, and the Pay Tai festival in Lam Thuong commune... with many unique and attractive activities. In the tourist areas of Yen The town, To Mau, Tan Linh, Tan Lap, and Khai Trung, the district has also developed diverse tourism products and types such as cave exploration combined with experiential and eco-tourism; and community tourism in Khai Trung and Tan Lap communes.
Here, visitors can learn about traditional festivals: Dai Cai Temple in Tan Linh commune, Suoi Tien Temple in To Mau commune, visit the gemstone market in Yen The town... To develop eco-tourism and green tourism products based on the local resource values, Mr. Trieu Van Huan - Head of the Culture and Information Department of Luc Yen district said: "The district has a plan to exploit and invest appropriately, building them into main tourism products to serve year-round in the direction of 'Green, distinctive, attractive' such as adventure tourism - experiencing the values of high mountain terrain, exploring caves, tourist spaces including Diem cave in Khai Trung commune; Tham Luong cave, Tham Duong cave, Ban Kheo cave in Lam Thuong commune; Mo Ma cave in Mai Son commune; Hum cave, Chua Sao cave in Tan Lap commune...".
Furthermore, recognizing the trend of tourists seeking natural environments and experiencing local culture, the district has leveraged resources to upgrade tourism infrastructure at various sites and encouraged businesses and individuals to invest in building tourism service facilities. Currently, Luc Yen has 55 guesthouses, hotels, and homestays; in the district center, there is an area showcasing, creating, and selling souvenirs made from precious stones, white stone, and local specialties.
Identifying the development of green tourism as one of the key tasks in local economic development, Luc Yen aims to develop tourism with unique experiences so that visitors can immerse themselves in the magnificent natural landscapes and traditional cultural spaces of ethnic minority communities. At the same time, the district also pays attention to and creates favorable conditions for businesses to invest in the tourism sector, guiding and supporting local people in developing tourism, serving tourists year-round in a "Green, distinctive, and attractive" manner.

In 2024 alone, the district received over 106,000 tourists, including 30,000 international visitors; tourism revenue reached 95.5 billion VND. In 2025, Luc Yen aims to welcome 110,000 tourists, including 30,000 international visitors; tourism revenue is estimated to exceed 96 billion VND. |
