The Central Highlands Journalism Award is held annually to recognize, encourage, and honor the outstanding contributions of journalists, reporters, editors, and collaborators working at media agencies in the Central Highlands region. Participants include members of the Vietnam Journalists Association, resident reporters, and communicators from media agencies whose works about the Central Highlands were published in 2024. The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Central Highlands Journalism Award in 2025 received 180 entries across four journalistic categories. Through two rounds of preliminary and final judging, the Jury selected 22 outstanding works to award prizes, including 2 First Prizes, 4 Second Prizes, 6 Third Prizes, and 10 Consolation Prizes.
The Kon Tum Provincial Journalists Association submitted 14 entries to the competition, including 7 online news articles, 1 print article, 4 television programs, and 2 radio programs. As a result, the Kon Tum Provincial Journalists Association won 1 Second Prize in the television category, along with 2 Third Prizes and 1 Consolation Prize. The winning entries this year vividly and comprehensively reflected various aspects of socio -economic life, culture, national defense and security, Party building, and digital transformation in the Central Highlands region, with innovative presentations, profound content, and highly relevant and practical topics.
On this occasion, the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper awarded 25 scholarships to poor students in Bao Loc City; the Vietnam Road Safety Association presented 100 helmets to the winning journalists.
