- On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on July 25, a working delegation of the Provincial "Repaying Gratitude" Fund Management Board led by Comrade Nguyen Van Giang, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Member of the Provincial "Repaying Gratitude" Fund Management Board visited and presented gifts to policy families and meritorious people in Hoa Tham and Tri Le communes.
During the program, the delegation visited and presented breeding buffaloes worth 15 million VND to the family of Mr. Hoang Xuan Moi, Pan Sleo village, Hoa Tham commune, a war invalid with a disability rate of 25%. His family of 5 members is among the near-poor households of the village. In addition, the People's Committee of Hoa Tham commune and local agencies and units presented 8 million VND to support the family in building barns.
At the same time, 2 savings books worth 5 million VND were presented to the family of Mr. Nong Van Chang, Pac Khiec village, Hoa Tham commune, a war invalid with a body injury rate of 81% and receiving monthly allowance; and Mr. Nong Van Duong, Ban Chau village, Tri Le commune, a war invalid with a disability rate of 91%.
At the families, the comrades in the delegation kindly asked about the health and family life of the wounded and sick soldiers, expressing deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the wounded and sick soldiers in the cause of national reunification.
It is known that on this occasion, the Management Board of the “Repaying Gratitude” Fund will present 69 savings books, each worth 5 million VND, to individuals who are Vietnamese heroic mothers; war invalids, sick soldiers, resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 81% or more; martyrs’ relatives including biological fathers, biological mothers, people who raised martyrs, martyrs’ wives or husbands living alone, and martyrs’ orphaned children. The total cost is 345 million VND.
