For over 50 years, Traphaco Joint Stock Company has made a firm mark on the Vietnamese pharmaceutical market with its success in manufacturing and distributing herbal products from the country's abundant natural resources.
Through its strategy of developing both premium traditional medicine and high-quality modern pharmaceutical products, Traphaco has been and continues to assert its position in the domestic market, while preparing to enter the international market with high-quality products that possess unique cultural value derived from Vietnamese medicinal herbs.
Innovation for sustainable development
From its early years, Traphaco has pursued a philosophy of sustainable development by preserving and promoting the value of domestic medicinal resources. This is part of its strategy to support the community and the environment, creating jobs and increasing income for local people, especially in remote areas. This strategy was initiated by GreenPlan – a project aiming to develop clean medicinal herb growing areas that meet GACP-WHO standards, in order to protect natural resources and ensure a stable and sustainable supply for the company's traditional medicine products.
Traphaco's success with its premium herbal medicine product line stems not only from high-quality raw materials but also from significant investment in modern, environmentally friendly production technology. Traphaco owns a GMP-certified factory system with advanced technology, ensuring consistent product quality and enhancing the brand's reputation. Traphaco's herbal medicine products, such as Boganic and Hoat Huyet Duong Nao, effectively meet the healthcare needs of domestic consumers and are gradually establishing their position in the international market.

Developing high-quality traditional medicine - a journey to preserve national resources.
Vietnam possesses abundant medicinal plant resources, with many valuable medicinal plants of great importance in traditional medicine. Traphaco understands its role not only as a manufacturing enterprise but also as a guardian and developer of the nation's cultural and medical values. Therefore, the company has invested in standardized medicinal plant growing areas, collaborated with local farmers, and provided training and technical assistance to enable people to sustainably cultivate and harvest medicinal plants, thus protecting natural resources.
Traphaco currently owns 10 GACP-WHO certified medicinal plant growing areas nationwide, specializing in providing abundant and high-quality raw materials for the company's key products. A prime example is the artichoke growing area in Sapa, where Traphaco has invested in cultivation techniques and plant varieties, helping local people not only increase their income but also contribute to the preservation of a valuable medicinal plant resource.
Building upon the foundation of reputable products like Boganic and Hoat Huyet Duong Nao, Traphaco has innovated its formulas, combining new active ingredients to create premium herbal products, maximizing the value of Vietnam's natural medicinal herbs.
With its premium herbal medicine line, Traphaco's team continuously explores and researches to create an "upgrade" with the Premium product line – Traphaco's signature high-end herbal medicine line with three key characteristics: excellence (a combination of Eastern and Western formulas, standardized medicinal ingredients), modernity (technology, clinical research, packaging), and sustainability (environmental protection and contribution to the community).
High-quality new drugs - when science is for the community.
Recognizing the growing market demand for pharmaceutical products, Traphaco has boldly invested in research and development of this product line. The company has built a smart pharmaceutical factory with strict quality standards, using robots in the production process to ensure consistent quality.
In addition, Traphaco has collaborated with Daewoong, one of South Korea's leading pharmaceutical corporations, to transfer technology, helping to improve the quality of pharmaceutical products and reduce treatment costs for patients.
Traphaco's new pharmaceutical products, such as anticoagulants and new-generation lipid-lowering drugs, have been recognized by the Ministry of Health as meeting bioequivalence standards with generic drugs. Since the beginning of 2022, Traphaco has had 10 products declared bioequivalent by the Ministry of Health. This is a proud achievement and a favorable starting point for strengthening the Traphaco brand on the map of pharmaceutical manufacturers in Vietnam.
This not only helps Vietnamese consumers access high-quality products at reasonable costs, but also contributes to enhancing Traphaco's competitiveness in the international market. With its strategy of developing high-quality pharmaceuticals, Traphaco aims to contribute to reducing healthcare costs and expanding access to quality healthcare services for the people.
Social responsibility and sustainable development - Traphaco's unwavering commitment
In addition to focusing on business development, Traphaco actively participates in social activities and environmental protection. Traphaco strictly adheres to ESG (environmental, social, governance) standards, committing to minimizing negative impacts on the environment and making positive contributions to community development. The company has implemented numerous environmental protection projects, such as waste management and emission reduction at its factories, as well as encouraging the use of environmentally friendly raw materials.
Through the GreenPlan Project, Traphaco not only helps improve the lives of local people but also contributes to creating a green and sustainable living environment. The development of medicinal plant cultivation areas brings economic benefits while simultaneously preserving biodiversity and protecting valuable Vietnamese medicinal plants. In particular, Traphaco has built a collaborative model led by ethnic minority women, enhancing the role of women in the community and promoting gender equality.
Affirming the Vietnamese brand
At the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, the Board of Directors of Traphaco demonstrated the company's strong commitment to technology transfer and exporting Traphaco products to international markets.
Regarding technology transfer, Traphaco will receive the transfer of innovative products from Daewoong (Korea), including NCE (new pharmaceutical substance), combination drugs, suspensions, and functional food products. In addition, Traphaco also plans to build new brands through technology transfer in consumer products, such as Impactamin (multivitamin), Daewoong's most popular brand in Korea.
The Korean members of Traphaco's Board of Directors and their team will explore potential opportunities to enhance Traphaco's overseas capabilities by bringing Traphaco's flagship products such as Boganic, Hoat Huyet Duong Nao, and Methorphan to Southeast Asia and beyond.
