On December 17th, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 6259/ADD-UBND approving Sun Group Joint Stock Company as the investor to implement the project of renovating, upgrading, and reconstructing the park along both sides of the To Lich River, marking an important turning point in the effort to revive a river closely associated with the history of the capital city.

Accordingly, Sun City Co., Ltd. ( Sun Group) will implement the project under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, specifically a Build-Transfer (BT) contract, with a total investment of over 4,665 billion VND.
The To Lich River, a vital transportation artery with significant historical and cultural value closely linked to the development of Thang Long citadel, has become severely polluted and its landscape degraded due to the impact of urbanization.
With the goal of urban beautification and the development of tourism and service potential in the To Lich River area, elevating the status of the capital city, the project will renovate, beautify, and design a 12.4 km long landscape axis passing through many wards along the river such as: Ngoc Ha, Nghia Do, Lang, Giang Vo, Cau Giay, Yen Hoa, Thanh Xuan, Dong Da, Khuong Dinh, Dinh Cong, Thanh Liet, and Hoang Liet.
The project will focus on redesigning the entire area on both sides of the river, creating a multi-functional linear park including a system of walking paths, sidewalks, squares, and landmark structures such as artistic pedestrian bridges, boat docks, observation decks, and a historical exhibition hall.
Sun Group, along with reputable domestic and international design consultants, will apply an architectural style that harmoniously blends tradition and modernity, combined with the addition of green ecosystems and aquatic plants to improve the environment and provide shade for the river.
The combination of three elements—Identity, Ecology, and Integration—not only enhances the urban landscape but also transforms it into a leading cultural and tourism center, aligning with the strategy of making Hanoi a "cultural industry center" and promoting the values of the Red River civilization.
The reconstruction and renovation of the landscape on both sides of the To Lich River is not just a simple infrastructure project, but also demonstrates the strong determination of Hanoi city and Sun Group in their efforts to revive a historical heritage, transforming it into an unmissable destination and a symbol of the enduring history of Hanoi, a city with a thousand years of cultural heritage.
