A series of book reading and author meet-and-greets will be held to welcome summer 2026.

A notable highlight is the "Summer Fun with Books" program , themed " How to Choose Suitable Books for Children & Healthy Entertainment Methods in the 4.0 Era ," taking place at 10:00 AM on June 6th at Fahasa Tan Dinh Bookstore (389 Hai Ba Trung Street, Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The program features the participation of two children's authors, Mai Anh Doan and Cat Tuong.

During the event, speakers will discuss with parents and children how to choose books that are appropriate for children's age, interests, and emotional needs.

In addition, the program also suggests healthy forms of entertainment in the digital age, helping children balance reading, playing, exercising, being creative, and using technology appropriately.

Many interactive activities, Q&A sessions, and games were also organized, providing opportunities for children to share their love of reading, unleash their imagination, and bond with their families in a joyful summer atmosphere.

In parallel with the above program, the Weekend Reading Corner event series at Kim Dong Publishing House headquarters in Hanoi continues to offer many activities for children throughout June.

Accordingly, on June 6th, children will have the opportunity to meet young author Doan Lu Thuy Phuong in the book reading program "The Little Mouse" at Hoa Muong Vang. Through the story of the mischievous,个性 and always-true little mouse, children will enter a world full of color and many interesting things.

Next, on June 13th, author Le Anh Vinh will interact with readers through his work "The Robot Who Thought He Was Human ." The character, Biết Điều – an imperfect but emotionally rich robot – will share relatable stories about the journey of growing up, about differences, and the value of living true to oneself.

On June 20th, the exchange program "Windy Windows – Xuan Quynh and the Love That Remains" will bring readers closer to the life and soul of poet Xuan Quynh through the memoirs of author Luu Tuan Anh.

Audiences will also enjoy children's poetry and many other special performances.

Concluding the June activities is the "Travel Around the World" program on June 27th. Through the "Around the World" book series, children will have the opportunity to explore many countries, famous landmarks, cultural traditions, and unique festivals of peoples around the world.

To encourage reading during the summer, Kim Dong Publishing House is also launching Kim Dong Book Month from May 30th to June 17th. Readers who purchase books at Kim Dong Bookstores and the publisher's online distribution channels will enjoy many benefits, with discounts ranging from 10% to 70%, along with the chance to receive attractive gifts.
