Determined to finish on time.
Despite the unpredictable weather in recent days, construction at the new site of Tuyen Quang Specialized High School (in Tan Ha ward, Tuyen Quang city) continues at a rapid pace. Contractors have mobilized maximum manpower, machinery, and equipment, working three shifts to ensure this important project is completed and put into use before August 15, 2024, as directed by the Provincial People's Committee.

Mr. Mai Thanh Xuan, a formwork worker at Ha Do 23 Joint Stock Company, currently working at the Tuyen Quang Specialized High School construction site, said that the team members have a clear understanding of the plan and deadlines for completing the tasks assigned by the company. "We work in shifts, and even though we have to work at night, everyone is striving to meet the deadlines and fulfill their duties," he said.
At various sections such as the academic block (A3); the learning support block and auditorium (A4); the lobby and vertical circulation (A5); and auxiliary items… the sounds of bulldozer engines rumbled. Mr. Hoang Van Nam, a worker constructing the learning support block and auditorium, affirmed that with the current construction speed, all sections will be completed by around July.
The construction unit for this project is a joint venture between Ha Do 23 Joint Stock Company and Nam Hai Construction and Installation Joint Stock Company. Mr. Bui Cong Tuan, Deputy Commander of Ha Do Joint Stock Company, stated that the company is responsible for the construction of phase 1 (buildings A1 and A2) and phase 2 (buildings A3, A4, and A5). Currently, buildings A1 and A2 have completed their structural work and are undergoing painting; other items are also being urgently implemented. The company has mobilized over 170 personnel and maximum machinery to work three shifts (morning, afternoon, and evening) to ensure the progress and quality of construction. To date, considering the construction volume exceeds the adjusted plan by 40 days, the company aims to complete and put the project into use before August 2024.
The project to build Tuyen Quang Specialized High School at a new location has a total investment of over 255.8 billion VND. Of this, the cumulative allocated capital up to the end of 2023 was 130.5 billion VND, with 100% of the allocated funds already disbursed; the capital allocated for 2024, over 43.8 billion VND, is being disbursed according to plan. Regarding construction progress, the site leveling, administrative block, principal's office, 500-seat auditorium, and academic block have been completed. For the construction package of the academic support block and auditorium (A4); lobby and vertical circulation (A5) and auxiliary items, 48% of the contract value has been completed. Specifically, Building A4 has completed 5 out of 5 floors of the rough construction; Building A5 has 3 units, all 3 units have completed 4 out of 4 floors; auxiliary items have been implemented simultaneously and are on schedule.
Speeding up construction on the highway.
Construction continued throughout the April 30th and International Labor Day holidays, accelerating progress on every item, no matter how small. That is the goal of the contractors working on the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project.
Mr. Le Duc Tranh, Director of the Project Management Board for Package 24 - Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company, enthusiastically stated that Package 24 is the largest package, undertaking the construction of 20 out of 22 bridges in the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project. To ensure construction progress, the unit has mobilized 130 large-scale machinery and equipment along with 230 workers and technical staff, organizing construction in 3 shifts and 4 teams. Initially, the contractor is focusing manpower and equipment to accelerate construction on 10 bridges that are likely to be flooded during the rainy season, followed by the construction of 10 elevated bridges at interchange points and pedestrian overpasses. With the construction methods currently being implemented, the impact of weather will not significantly affect the progress of the package.
The Ham Yen Bridge, spanning the Lo River and connecting Tan Yen town with Tan Thanh commune, is the largest of the 22 bridges in the expressway project. Five construction teams, including those drilling pile foundations for the four bridge abutments and constructing the bridge girder piers, are working at full capacity. Nguyen Van Quynh, team leader of the M1 abutment construction team, affirmed that, driven by the investor's trust and to ensure the project's progress, the workers are determined to work tirelessly, seizing every moment to complete the project ahead of schedule. According to Mr. Quynh, the Ham Yen Bridge project is currently 20-30% complete. At this rate, the bridge will be joined by the end of 2024, and inaugurated on April 30, 2025.

Truong Son Construction Joint Stock Company is the contractor for package 19 of the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project.
At Package 19, being constructed by Truong Son Construction Corporation, dozens of vehicles transporting materials, along with hundreds of officials, engineers, supervisory consultants, workers, and laborers, are spread across the construction site. Mr. Nhu Xuan Hai, Deputy Commander of Package 19, shared that the eight construction teams, including one bridge section, two culvert/underpass sections, and one road section, are working continuously regardless of sun, rain, or holidays, maintaining three shifts and four teams to strive for early completion of the set target.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam, an excavator operator, chatted with us while driving his machine. He said that all the workers are working at a faster pace, as any delay affects the entire project, so everyone is working together towards the common goal of completing the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway on schedule.
According to the Provincial Investment and Construction Management Board for Transportation Projects, the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway project comprises six bidding packages. Currently, all packages have simultaneously commenced construction of road and bridge sections along the route. Contractors have mobilized 425 pieces of machinery and equipment, including 107 excavators, 56 bulldozers, 84 vibratory rollers, 153 trucks, 10 cranes, and 15 pile driving equipment, to accelerate progress on each item from the initial stages of the project.
The contractors working on key projects in the province have clearly understood their responsibilities, and therefore have organized work without days off, ensuring that the projects are put into operation on schedule, contributing to promoting socio -economic development and making Tuyen Quang an attractive destination for investors, bringing prosperity to the people.
