The Expanded Immunization Program includes 12 types of vaccines: Neonatal Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis, DPT-VGB-Hib, Oral Polio, Injectable Polio, Measles, Measles-Rubella, Japanese Encephalitis, Tetanus, Diphtheria-Pertussis-Tetanus, Reduced-Dose Tetanus-Diphtheria, and Rotavirus; implemented at all immunization points in 151 communes/wards/towns in the province.

The target group for vaccination includes children and pregnant women eligible for vaccination in May 2025, and children aged 1 to under 5 years who have not been vaccinated or have not received all doses of vaccines included in the expanded immunization program.

Vaccination activities must ensure safety. Healthcare workers must conduct screening and pre-vaccination counseling for children according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health; observe the overall condition and assess the current health status of adults; ask and record information of the vaccination recipient regarding medical history, allergy history, and previous vaccination history; advise the vaccination recipient, parents, and guardians of the child about the effects and benefits of using the vaccine and explain possible reactions after vaccination; inform the vaccination recipient, parents, and guardians of the child about the effects, dosage, and route of administration of the vaccine before each vaccination. Vaccination must be performed correctly for the target group, according to the indication, with the correct vaccine, dose, route of administration, and at the correct time.

Healthcare workers at vaccination sites closely monitor the health of vaccinated individuals at the site for 30 minutes. They also instruct families and vaccinated individuals to closely and regularly monitor their health at home for at least 24 hours after vaccination for signs such as: general condition, mental state, eating, sleeping, breathing, rash, and symptoms at the injection site. They are instructed to notify healthcare workers if any unusual signs appear.
People need to proactively ensure their children receive all vaccinations on schedule to prevent dangerous infectious diseases and protect their health.
