Focus on reviewing and appraising legal documents on the environment, focusing on projects with sensitive environmental factors (projects using 2-crop rice land, forest land, projects with potential risks of pollution, big impacts on the environment (projects of mining, hydropower, industrial projects...).
Strengthening control of waste collection, transportation and treatment, concentrating resources to thoroughly solve environmental pollution problems from waste, directly affecting people's lives and livelihoods; encourage the organization of commencement, construction and handover of environmental protection works for the benefit of the community.
Strengthening conservation of nature and biodiversity, focusing on assessment and conservation of natural heritages in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection; promote the implementation of conservation and sustainable use models; applying the ecosystem approach in river basin management, sustainable forest management, focusing on the role and interests of the community. Restoration of degraded ecosystems; protect the natural landscape and biodiversity; conservation of species and genetic resources. Implement programs, projects and tasks for ecosystem restoration.
Strengthen inspection and control of wildlife trade, exploitation of migratory wild species, and the observance of laws on environmental protection. Maintain and promote the effectiveness of the hotline to receive and process information, complaints and suggestions from organizations and individuals on environmental pollution in order to detect and promptly handle cases causing environmental pollution at the grassroots level.
In particular, focusing on subjects with high risk of causing environmental pollution, areas that have had hot spots for environmental pollution (industrial production projects in Tang Loong industrial park; large-scale mineral mining areas such as Sin Quyen - Bat Xat copper, apatite mining in Lao Cai city, Bat Xat district, heavy metal mining in the urban area of concentration project, etc.); areas for large-scale mining projects such as Sin Quyen - Bat Xat copper, apatite mining in Lao Cai city, Bat Xat district, heavy metal mining in the urban area, concentrated breeding projects, etc. thoroughly deal with the arising pollution problems.
It is known that this year's communication method will be renewed by creativity, innovation in implementation, communication forms, and application of information technology. On the launch day of June 2, the People's Committee of Lao Cai province will organize the release of the seed back to the wild in response to the month of action for the environment; organize the running activity "Run for a green future" to spread the determination to protect the environment in the community, run together for health and the living environment, join hands to create useful values for society and together towards a greener, cleaner and more beautiful life in the future.
