Art photography exhibition "The Beauty of the Homeland"

(LĐ online) - On March 15th, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, the Lam Dong Association of Literature and Arts, the Lam Dong Photography Branch, in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Lam Dong I - II, organized the opening of an art photography exhibition themed "The Beauty of the Homeland" to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the traditional day of Vietnamese photography and the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

Attendees included Mr. Dinh Van Tuan – Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Duong Anh Ngu – Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, representatives from various departments and agencies, the Binh Thuan Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, the Amateur Photography Club, and a large number of artists, photographers, and photography enthusiasts from Da Lat.

Seventy-two years ago, on March 15, 1953, in the Viet Bac war zone, President Ho Chi Minh signed a decree establishing the National Film and Photography Enterprise, laying the foundation for the birth of the Vietnamese photography industry. From an initial 71 members, the country now boasts over 1,500 professional and amateur photographers, accompanying the nation on every stage of its struggle and reconstruction.

Commemorative medals for contributions to the development of Vietnamese photography were awarded to the artists.

In Lam Dong , 38 years after the establishment of the Association of Literature and Arts, the Photography Branch is one of the four branches that have been present since the Association's inception, and is one of the most active branches among the 11 branches of the Lam Dong Association of Literature and Arts. Many veteran photographers have made significant contributions to photography in Lam Dong and the country; many members have been awarded prestigious titles by international photography organizations.

Speaking at the ceremony, poet Nguyen Thanh Hong – Chairman of the Lam Dong Literature and Arts Association – emphasized: The team of photographers in Lam Dong has left many imprints on the artistic life. The Lam Dong Photography Association, with over 30 members, including 19 members of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, has been considered a strong association nationwide for many years. The artists have continuously and passionately created many high-quality works, contributing to promoting the image of the people and homeland of Lam Dong to the world.

The "Beauty of the Homeland" art photography exhibition is a practical activity to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of Vietnam Photography Day and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Lat, leading up to the reunification of the country. The exhibition introduces to the public 116 works by 30 photographers, representing the creative achievements that mark a journey of passionate dedication to photographic art.

Artists and writers from Binh Thuan visited the exhibition.

Lam Dong photographers, driven by their love for their homeland, have overcome difficulties and dedicated their efforts to traveling to many regions, capturing beautiful moments and producing thousands of works of high aesthetic value and masterful technique. These images depict the land and people of Lam Dong, and the people and homeland of Vietnam 50 years after national reunification.

The exhibition attracted the public.

Among the 116 works presented to the public this time, 67 vividly reflect the economic, cultural, and social development achievements of Lam Dong; the architectural characteristics of Da Lat; beautiful natural landscapes; and the daily life and work of the gentle, elegant, and hospitable people of Da Lat.

The remaining 49 works depict images of the Vietnamese countryside, the result of artistic labor in which artists have devoted much time and effort to traveling to many regions, searching for moments that show our country is incredibly beautiful and the Vietnamese people are incredibly diligent and creative.

The "Beauty of the Homeland" art photography exhibition has received attention, support, and sponsorship from the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

On this occasion, four photographers from Lam Dong province with over 20 years of experience in photography were awarded the Commemorative Medal for the Development of Vietnamese Photography by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists: Nguyen Thanh Liem, Nguyen Ba Hao, Tran Thiet Dung, and Vu Thi Tinh.
