Exhibition of Hue Buddhist Cultural Heritage

The exhibition attracted public attention.

The exhibition opened on the afternoon of May 1 at the Lieu Quan Hue Buddhist Cultural Center (15 Le Loi, Thuan Hoa District).

There, viewers will meet famous names such as Vo Quang Hoanh, Dang Mau Tuu, Phan Thanh Hung, Nguyen Thi Hue, Tran Huu Nhat, Le Hoa, Hoang Thanh Phong, Nguyen Phuoc Nhat, Hoang Xuan Hieu, Tran Quang Thang, Pham Dinh Thai, Nguyen Van Tan, Le Tien Nhan... through 40 works with many different materials. Each work sends viewers a story, a meaningful message about the great Vesak festival, the birth, enlightenment, and death of Buddha.

According to the organizers, this exhibition is an opportunity to honor the spiritual and aesthetic values and deepen the Hue Buddhist culture that has been forged over the centuries. It is also the crystallization of artisan talent, the convergence and shining point of national culture and also the voice of compassion, wisdom, and faith in the path to enlightenment.

The exhibition will be open from now until the end of Vesak PL.2569-DL.2025.

The Organizing Committee of the Vesak PL.2569-DL.2025 in Hue City informed that on the evening of the same day, they will hold a ceremony to light up 7 lotus flowers on the Perfume River. The 7 lotus flowers will be lit throughout the Buddha's birthday season.

Lotus thrones are decorated on the Perfume River.

Previously, 7 lotus flowers were launched and placed on the Huong River. Each lotus flower has a diameter of 7.6m, is nearly 4m high, and weighs 300kg.

The 7 lotus flowers on the Perfume River first appeared on the United Nations Vesak Day 2008, the idea, implementation, and contribution of young monks and nuns in the ancient capital. Up to now, after 17 years, these 7 giant lotus flowers have been maintained and present on the Perfume River, becoming a tradition signaling the Buddha's birthday season.
