Exhibition of national achievements: Portraying 'Happy Vietnam' through images and videos

The exhibition “Happy Vietnam” is not only a cultural event, but also an emotional meeting place, where the public is inspired and aroused in their belief in a happy future.

Within the framework of the National Achievements Exhibition celebrating the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the exhibition "Happy Vietnam" is a cultural highlight, spreading the message of simple, familiar happiness values ​​in the daily life of Vietnamese people.

The exhibition includes 150 photos and 30 videos with 3 themes: Happy Land, Happy People, Happy Moments.

What is special is that these photos and videos were selected from 20,000 works by professional and amateur photographers, Vietnamese people at home and abroad, foreign tourists and those living and working in Vietnam, sent to participate in the "Happy Vietnam" Award organized on the digital platform promoting the image of Vietnam: Vietnam.vn . Since its launch in June 2023, the contest has received 20,000 works.

According to information from the organizing unit - Department of Grassroots Information and External Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), each photo and video is not only a work but also a vivid story about the spiritual values ​​of the Vietnamese people.

An attractive point of the exhibition is the application of modern technology through 3D mapping and augmented reality (AR), visitors can explore the entire exhibition of 80 years of socio-economic achievements digitized, multi-layer digital maps of 34 provinces and cities, directly interacting with images, sounds and vivid digital space. All of this data is uploaded to the digital space through the vietnam.vn platform.

In the Exhibition Area, there will be a booth introducing the grassroots information system across the country. Currently, the grassroots communication network has reached every small alley, every roof through the familiar ward loudspeaker. The whole country currently has more than 3,000 commune-level radio stations and more than 49,500 radio stations applying information and telecommunications technology in regular operation.

In particular, with more than 70 million Zalo users, agencies and units have quickly "caught the wave" of the new trend by creating 3,321 Zalo OA pages, turning smartphones into "loudspeakers in hand." Along with that, more than 137,000 grassroots propagandists are still enthusiastic day and night, contributing to making official information reach the people, as close as neighborhood stories.

Along with modern technology and products closely related to life, the exhibition also honors traditional art through lacquer works by folk artists. This space has the collaboration of artists from the Latoa Indochine group. In particular, there are works bearing a strong historical imprint such as the painting reproducing the "Decree on the Transfer of the Capital" issued by King Ly Thai To when moving the capital from Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh) to Thang Long (Hanoi).

Visitors can not only admire the lacquer paintings but also experience making folk paintings with the artists. The Organizing Committee has prepared 1,000 gifts which are paintings made by visitors themselves, the results of their own creations.

Through the exhibition space, the Organizing Committee hopes to spread the message of a "Happy Vietnam" - where happiness comes from great achievements, expressed through everyday moments.

The exhibition also affirms that after 80 years of independence, Vietnam has not only grown strongly in terms of socio-economic development, but also put people's happiness at the center of development. This is the core value that creates endogenous strength and confidence in the future.

The Organizing Committee prepared 29,220 gifts with QR codes for visitors to experience the Vietnam promotion platform, VR technology associated with familiar landmarks./.

The exhibition area “Happy Vietnam” takes place on the 2nd floor, Building A1, National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), from August 28 to September 5.
