The final match took place tonight (July 6). Trinh Linh Giang did not start the championship match very well, he could not overwhelm his opponent, even though he had the advantage of a day off.

Even at the end of the first set, Linh Giang was still trailing Vanshik Kapadia 8-10. Luckily, the Vietnamese player regained his composure afterwards, scored points continuously, and then won 12-10, temporarily leading his opponent 1-0.

Winning the first set gave Trinh Linh Giang a good mentality when entering the second set. Also in this set, Vanshik Kapadia showed signs of exhaustion from playing continuously before.

Facing an opponent who moved somewhat inflexibly, the Vietnamese player continuously took the lead, before Trinh Linh Giang won this set with a fairly large score of 11-7.

In the end, Trinh Linh Giang won 2-0 (October 12, July 11), winning the Panas Malaysia Open 2025 championship.

Trinh Linh Giang used to be the number two tennis player in Vietnam. However, recently, he and the former number one tennis player in Vietnam, Ly Hoang Nam, have switched to playing pickleball.
