According to the Department of Health, the overload situation at provincial hospitals is quite common. Typically, the Provincial General Hospital has 900 beds but the actual number of beds is more than 1,200.
Faced with the above reality, the establishment and operation of many YTTN facilities in the area, from general and specialized clinics to hospitals, not only helps people access medical services quickly, but also contributes to significantly reducing the burden on provincial hospitals.
Private hospitals and clinics attract a large number of people to visit, helping to reduce pressure on public hospitals.
Doctor CKII Nguyen Van Bot, Head of the Department of Health, Department of Health, said: "The YTTTN system including hospitals, general clinics, and specialized clinics has developed quite strongly in Ca Mau in recent times, contributing significantly to medical examination and treatment (KCB) and primary health care for people. Currently, many YTTTN facilities invest in modern equipment, spacious facilities, and at the same time strengthen the training of medical staff to meet the needs of accessing medical services of people in the area."
Focusing on diversifying types of health care, private clinics and hospitals have implemented many health care service packages, attracting many people to choose, especially on-demand health care packages, helping patients access high-tech services without having to travel far or go to higher levels.
In order to meet the needs of medical examination and treatment as well as gradually improve the quality of health care for people, in recent times, Hoan My - Minh Hai General Hospital has continuously invested in equipment, innovated technology, and strengthened the training of quality human resources. Doctor Phan Van Hung, Deputy Director of the hospital, said: "The hospital focuses on improving medical examination and treatment processes, reducing waiting time, increasing customer experience; applying technology in medical examination and treatment, especially electronic medical records in the coming time. With that effort, the hospital hopes to contribute to sharing and reducing the burden on public hospitals in the province, helping people have more choices in health care, towards the goal of improving the quality of local healthcare."
Regularly visiting Hoan My - Minh Hai General Hospital, Mr. Le Viet Hung (residing in Tan Thanh ward) shared: "The network of public health facilities is growing, people have more choices for treatment, health care, and more convenient access to medical services, without necessarily having to go to public hospitals."
Many private hospitals are increasing investment in modern equipment to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment.
Along with private hospitals, private clinics are interested in innovating and improving the quality of services to better meet people's needs. Doctor Nguyen Thanh Tung, Head of the Examination Department, Medic Thanh Vu General Clinic - Ca Mau, shared: "On average, the clinic receives 500-700 people per day, mainly for endocrine, cardiovascular and neurological examinations. Thereby, contributing to reducing pressure on public health and improving the quality of treatment."
As an inevitable trend in the health care development strategy, YTTN is affirming its important role in improving the quality of health care for the people. When public and private health care develop together, support and share with each other, the local health system will become stronger and stronger, better meeting the health care needs of the people of the province.
