Silk Singing Lotus is the fourth collection by designer Trung Dinh, part of the Silk Singing on the Shoulder project that he has been developing for a long time.

The three previous collections included: Paradise Dream, Silk (not yet announced), and the Vietnamese Landscape collection (this collection is quite special, with no time or quantity limitations, and new designs are added annually).

The collection of lotus-themed silk fabrics includes 16 designs, inspired by the lotus flowers of Dong Thap - considered the lotus capital of the Mekong Delta.

The lotus flowers here are characterized by their large size, single petals, and a white color tinged with pink.

This is also the main color chosen by designer Trung Dinh.

The unique feature of this collection is the use of entirely handcrafted painting and dyeing techniques combined with transparent silk.

Previously, Trung Dinh had tried combining silk and satin, but this combination proved difficult due to the different elasticity of the two materials. However, this time he decided to combine them, creating something new and unique.

Designer Trung Dinh shared: "The technique of painting on silk is not easy because the material is thin and translucent, so it requires the artist to paint in a way that ensures the finished product remains soft and not stiff."

Realistic painting on silk and the application of ombre dyeing techniques (manual dyeing techniques that create new textures and gradients) continue to affirm Trung Dinh's strengths.

The "Silk Singing Lotus" collection embodies purity and freshness, showcasing the transparency of the collection. When the lights shine on it on stage, it automatically brightens and appears very transparent.

Trung Dinh, like many other designers, has always created ao dai designs featuring lotus flowers.

This time, Trung Dinh used the lotus flower as the recurring image throughout the collection. This not only didn't create pressure but also provided additional creative motivation for him and his team.

Participating in the fashion show of the Lotus Silk collection were Misses Ngoc Chau, Xuan Hanh, Kim Ngan, beauty queen Diem Trinh, runner-up Le Hang, Mau Thuy, Kim Duyen, Thuy Tien, Huong Ly, Hoang Nhung… along with models Cao Thien Trang, Vu Thuy Quynh, Ngo Bao Ngoc, Thuy Duong.

When asked about their roles on the stage, Trung Dinh said that he believes each person is a piece of the puzzle, equally important and shining brightly on the stage; there is no main role and no supporting role.
