On the afternoon of December 17, Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee coordinated with Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organize a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing Hau Giang Provincial Political School as meeting level 1 standards.

3 breakthroughs of Hau Giang Political School
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Loan, Principal of Hau Giang Provincial Political School, said that Hau Giang Provincial Political School had a low starting point compared to the criteria and standards of level 1 according to Regulation No. 11 of the Party Central Committee Secretariat. At the end of 2021, the school only achieved 19/55 standards of level 1, approaching 8 more targets (less than 50%), in the bottom group of the country.

Faced with that situation, in December 2021, the school advised the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee to issue Project No. 02 on "Developing Hau Giang Provincial Political School to 2025, with a vision to 2030" in line with local practical requirements. After that, the school's Board of Directors developed a plan to develop the project, with the method of dividing into 3 groups of tasks to organize the implementation to achieve 55 level 1 standards. The school has identified the content, objects, solutions, time, roadmap and promoted the role of the staff of each department and division in implementing each specific criterion.

With determination and the right method, after only 3 years of implementing Project 02, Hau Giang Provincial Political School has achieved 6 groups of criteria with 55 targets, of which 10 targets exceeded the standard of level 1. "It is an extremely honorable and proud thing that the school is in the top 15 of the country recognized as meeting the standard of level 1 according to regulations. Not only that, if compared with the set of criteria and looking at the general level of the country, the school has had 3 remarkable breakthroughs. That is in building institutions and mechanisms; consulting on training quality, fostering cadres, scientific research, summarizing practices and consulting on improving the quality of human resources", the Principal of Hau Giang Provincial Political School excitedly shared.

Determined to reach level 2 in the top 15
According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, the fact that Hau Giang Provincial Political School has achieved level 1 standards has affirmed its role in the major tasks of the Party, the province and the political system. It can be said that Hau Giang is the first locality in the country to approve the project to build a school meeting level 1 standards. This shows the deep concern of the provincial leaders.

With the results achieved and the current potential, Hau Giang Provincial Political School has all the conditions and premises to prepare for the standard level 2. "From 19 targets, striving to achieve 55 targets is not simple. Among them are difficult targets, especially building a team of school staff, lecturers and comrades who are heads, deputy heads, and principals who meet the standards. From a low starting point, up to now, the school has far exceeded the requirements of standard level 1, not only meeting but exceeding the targets, approaching the standard level 2. Many comrades are postgraduates, doctors, 100% have a master's degree or higher. The time is not long, the school has done so is a great effort", Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang praised.
In the coming time, Hau Giang Provincial Political School is requested to thoroughly grasp the spirit of "students are the center, lecturers are the driving force, the school is the foundation". Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized: "The school must not slacken in training and fostering cadres and students. The slogans must be practical. How to make political theory lectures attractive, engaging, and bring the breath of life of Hau Giang province, of the Southern region. How to make students feel that not coming to class or being late is a disadvantage".
Professor Nguyen Xuan Thang expects Hau Giang Provincial Political School to reach level 2 standard sooner than the top 15 nationwide.
Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province, said that the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee has 20 years of establishment and development, but the Party School has a 75-year tradition in the heroic land of Long My district, Hau Giang. Hau Giang province is always proud, respectful and determined, making efforts to be worthy of the trust and love that generations of ancestors left on the homeland.
In that spirit, the Secretary of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee requested the Hau Giang Provincial Political School to make efforts to maintain the criteria and standards of level 1 that have been achieved with the awareness that "meeting the standards is difficult, maintaining the standards is even more difficult". Another important thing is to develop a plan to continue promoting the implementation of Project 02, aiming to build a school that meets level 2 standards, with a scientific, feasible implementation roadmap that is suitable for practical conditions. The provincial leaders will always accompany and support the school to together determine to achieve the goal of bringing the school to level 2 standards sooner than the top 15 nationwide.
