(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Candidates applying for admission to the 10th grade at the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities will have to take four entrance exams.
The High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities has just announced its 10th-grade admissions plan with several changes.
Accordingly, instead of taking just one exam as in 2024, students will have to take four entrance exams including mathematics, literature, English, and a specialized subject.
Mathematics and English are multiple-choice exams, with exam times of 90 and 60 minutes respectively. Scores in these two subjects are not included in the admission score, but candidates need to achieve a minimum of 4 points per subject to be eligible for admission.
For the specialized subject, candidates need to achieve a minimum of 6 points. The admission score is the score of the general Vietnamese language subject plus the score of the specialized subject multiplied by a factor of two.
The High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities plans to hold its 10th grade entrance exam over two days, May 24-25.
The school will be open for online registration from April 14th to May 6th.
The school has not yet announced its enrollment quota for this year. Last year, the school admitted 140 students, with 70 places allocated to the literature specialization and the remaining 70 places equally divided between the history and geography specializations.
