A rare case in the First Division.

Hue FC lost both of their goalkeepers and had to bring in a defender to fill the role of custodian for their away match against PVF-CAND in Round 13 of the 2024/25 National First Division.

In the PVF-CAND match against Hue on the afternoon of April 6th, an unusual situation occurred when the visiting team lost both goalkeepers to injury in the first half.

After starting goalkeeper Vo Duc Bao suffered an injury, the Hue FC coaching staff substituted him with reserve goalkeeper Lam Le Phuoc Tien Dung. However, in the 33rd minute, Tien Dung also sustained an injury. Both goalkeepers suffered serious injuries and had to be hospitalized, leaving the field in an ambulance during the first half.

This can be considered a very rare case in the National First Division. Hue FC's head coach, Nguyen Duc Dung, was forced to move defender Vo Quoc Anh down to guard the goal.

Before round 13, PVF-CAND was ranked 3rd in the standings with 21 points, 3 points behind second-placed Binh Phuoc. The latest regulations from the VFF and VPF allow the second-placed team to be promoted directly to the V.League for the 2025/26 season.

Meanwhile, Hue is struggling in second-to-last place in the standings with 8 points, only 2 points ahead of bottom-placed Dong Nai .

The match between PVF-CAND and Hue is currently tied 0-0 after the first half.
