Reading comprehension question (question 1: 3 points): Question a (0.5 points): requires candidates to answer closely related to the text and only need to provide two points. Candidates who answer with points outside the text will receive no points.
Question b (0.5 points): The candidate must answer both parts correctly, correctly name the "calling and responding component" (0.25 points), and correctly identify the phrase "Mom ơi" (0.25 points). Cases such as incorrect naming (modal or explanatory), or identifying extra or missing words (only the word "ơi") will result in point loss.

Question c (1 point): requires 4 points in the answer. Candidates who miss one point will have 0.25 points deducted. Candidates who simply quote Dang Thuy Tram verbatim will not receive any points. The phrase "my" must be omitted from the quotes for the answer to be accepted.
Question d (1 point): requires the candidate to have a clear and decisive attitude (like or dislike), provide a reasoned explanation, and avoid grammatical errors to receive full marks.
Social commentary essay question (question 2: 3 points): Candidates are allowed to write longer than the required length, but writing a paragraph will result in a deduction of points. The maximum score for a paragraph is 1.75/3 points. Because the question requires a wide range of expressions, such as expressing gratitude, apologies, love, and personal feelings, candidates who only discuss one expression (e.g., gratitude/ingratitude) will receive a maximum of 1 point out of 3.
In social commentary essays (and literary analysis essays), if candidates make 5 or more errors (spelling, word usage, sentence structure, etc.), 0.25 points will be deducted.
Literary essay question (question 3: 4 points): If a candidate chooses a short story to analyze (the question requires a poem), they will only receive points for structure (0.5 points), expression (0.25 points), and content (0.75 points). Therefore, the maximum score if the candidate chooses the wrong text genre is 1.5 points out of 4. If the candidate writes a well-written paragraph, they will only receive a maximum of 2.75 points. Question 2 has similar requirements to Question 1.
