Previously, Mr. Manh's family only grew corn and cassava, yielding low income. Determined to improve their lives and refuse to accept poverty, in 2017, Mr. Manh began exploring economic opportunities suitable for his local area. Along with his family's savings, he boldly borrowed an additional 30 million VND from the District Social Policy Bank to build barns for breeding cows, dig a fish pond, and install an irrigation system to cultivate 5,000 square meters of elephant grass to ensure a reliable source of fresh feed for his livestock. Furthermore, he actively participated in training courses organized by the commune on cattle farming techniques and elephant grass cultivation.

Thanks to his ability to capitalize on advantages, overcome initial difficulties, and his diligence and determination, Mr. Mạnh has achieved a highly effective economic model. To date, his family's model includes 21 breeding cows, over 700 square meters of ponds for raising tilapia and hybrid catfish. In addition, Mr. Mạnh also provides transportation services, transports construction materials, and collects agricultural products to sell to dealers to supplement his income. After deducting expenses, his family earns a stable income of nearly 300 million VND per year, becoming a model economic example in the commune's emulation movement for excellent production and business.

As the head of Hop Thanh village, Mr. Nguyen Van Manh has always been exemplary, upholding a high sense of responsibility and striving to fulfill his assigned duties well. He regularly visits each household to understand the thoughts and aspirations of the villagers and report them to the local government. He encourages the villagers to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, the community's customs and traditions, participate in protecting the rural environment, and actively respond to movements launched by the local authorities.

Mr. Manh said: "As the village head, I have encouraged and mobilized the villagers to develop the economy through livestock farming, vegetable cultivation, trading, and business; to transform the structure of inefficient crops, and to apply science and technology to production. And to gain the villagers' trust and follow me, I myself had to be a pioneer, leading the way and creating models for people to learn from. During this process, I regularly guided and disseminated knowledge and experience in livestock farming to households in the village, supporting people with loans and breeding stock. Through this, many households have been able to improve their lives. To date, out of 56 households in Hop Thanh village, only 2 are poor and 2 are near-poor."

With his sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, effort, and willingness to think outside the box and take action, Mr. Mạnh has not only lifted his family out of poverty and helped them become wealthy, but he has also contributed to the local new rural development movement.
