According to the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade , the nationwide rollout of E10 gasoline from June 1st is being implemented according to the roadmap stipulated in Circular 50/2025 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the application of blending ratios of biofuels with traditional fuels in Vietnam.
To ensure a synchronized and effective implementation process, avoiding delays that could affect the supply, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development requests that localities, from now until May 31st, intensify propaganda about the benefits and safety of E10 bioethanol fuel, in order to create consensus among consumers and businesses. Retail gasoline stations must urgently complete technical infrastructure such as storage tanks and pumps to switch to selling E10 fuel according to the set schedule.

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development also requested close monitoring of the conversion process at gas stations, ensuring there are no delays, disruptions in supply, or unauthorized cessation of sales. After June 1st, market management forces will coordinate inspections and handle violations related to selling gasoline of the wrong type, hoarding, creating artificial shortages, or unreasonably increasing prices.
Market management officials in charge of the area will be held responsible if they allow stores to fail to comply with the conversion requirements, commit serious violations, or if hotspots of fraud and market instability occur without timely detection and handling.
In the market, many major fuel distributors have begun accelerating the widespread rollout of E10 gasoline. PVOIL announced that, since May 15th, E10 has been sold at nearly 1,000 of its gas stations nationwide.
Petrolimex also plans to simultaneously roll out E10 fuel from May 20th across its system of more than 2,800 gas stations nationwide after a period of preparing the blending infrastructure and technical standards. Meanwhile, private gas stations remain hesitant due to some obstacles related to blending and technical issues.
