On the afternoon of January 31, in Hanoi, the Institute of Nutrition and Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited organized a scientific workshop: The role of proper nutrition and active lifestyle for primary school students.
Representatives of the two units signed a communication cooperation program to raise awareness of the role of nutrition for children, period 2023 - 2025
The workshop announced the results of a clinical intervention research project on the effectiveness of barley milk nutritional products combined with physicaleducation on the nutritional status, physical strength and mental strength of students in some Ninh Binh primary schools, implemented by two units in the 2022-2023 school year.
According to the announcement, after only 3 months of participating in this research project, these primary school students have improved and enhanced their physical fitness according to the evaluation criteria of: speed, strength, endurance, dexterity and motor coordination.
Also from the research results in this topic, at the workshop, the Institute of Nutrition and Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited signed and announced a cooperation agreement: Communication to raise awareness about the role of proper nutrition and promote an active lifestyle; enhance cooperation in exchange, scientific research and community nutrition intervention. Phase 2023 - 2025.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thanh Duong, Director of the National Institute of Nutrition, said that this cooperation program aims to strengthen communication and nutrition education, aiming to improve eating habits and physical education for children and students.
Accordingly, the two units will strengthen clinical trial research, providing scientific evidence as the basis for developing intervention solutions and communication activities on school nutrition.
In addition, the two sides will make efforts to develop school sports to build scientific and healthy eating habits and an active and positive lifestyle for Vietnamese children and students.
