
Notably, the percentage of schools at all levels meeting national standards across the province has increased sharply from 58.9% (in 2020) to 75.6% (in 2025), reflecting continuous efforts in planning, construction, and improving the educational environment. Simultaneously, the percentage of structurally sound classrooms reached 86% of the total number of classrooms, contributing to ensuring safe and effective teaching and learning conditions.
For mountainous areas and ethnic minority regions, the province pays special attention to investing in dormitory systems for boarding and semi-boarding students, reaching a rate of 45.67%, contributing to creating favorable conditions for students to study with peace of mind and reducing the dropout rate.
Aiming for sustainable development, Lao Cai province strives to achieve a national standard rate of 85% for schools at all levels by 2030. This is an important target for improving the intellectual level of the population, the quality of human resources, and building a comprehensive, equitable, and modern education system.
