
The project includes the following items: Restoration of the memorial house, foundation reinforcement, paving of the courtyard; construction of a new monument gate; landscape improvement, addition of trees and stone benches; completion of the lighting, water supply, and camera systems; rearrangement of signposts and other auxiliary items, with a budget of 1.5 billion VND.
Ms. Nguyen Hong Hanh, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City, said that the restoration and renovation adhere to the principle of preserving the original architecture of the memorial house from 1990, harmonizing with the pine forest space west of Ban Mountain.
Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, born in 1868 in Nghe An , died in 1901 in Hue City, and is buried at the aforementioned location.
In 1922, her remains were reinterred in her hometown. In 1990, a memorial stele was built at the original burial site, and the structure was subsequently renovated and restored, eventually being classified as a provincial-level historical site in Thua Thien Hue (now Hue City) in 2008.
