The Vietnam Film Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), in coordination with the Departments of Culture and Sports, Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the system of Cultural Centers, Arts and Culture Centers… of provinces and centrally-administered cities, andFPT Television Company Limited (FPT Play), will organize a Film Week to celebrate International Children's Day (June 1st) in 2026 nationwide.

Film Week is a meaningful cultural activity aimed at creating a joyful and healthy atmosphere for children during the summer; at the same time, it contributes to improving their spiritual lives, increasing opportunities to access cinematic works with humanistic values, educating about traditions, nurturing their souls, fostering love for their homeland, and inspiring beautiful dreams for the younger generation.
Within the framework of the Film Week, films for children and the public are presented in two forms: nationwide screenings through mobile film screening teams and FPT Play - an internet entertainment and television platform in Vietnam, and live screenings in Quang Ngai province during the opening activities of the Film Week.

Nationwide, the Vietnam Film Department has collaborated with Sconnect Holdings Co., Ltd. to distribute animated films for theatrical release, including "Little Trang Quynh: The Legend of the Golden Bull" and "Wolfoo and the Race of the Three Realms." These films will be available through the FPT Play platform and connected to a system of mobile film screening teams in provinces and cities across the country.
In addition, FPT Television Company Limited (FPT Play) is also supporting several animated films on the FPT Play platform, such as: "Try Being a Mother for a Day", "The Mysterious Boxes", "Wolfoo's Dream", "Lucy's Speaker", and "Wolfoo in the Conveyor Belt Restaurant".

In addition to films distributed through digital platforms, the Vietnam Film Department organized the nationwide distribution of state-commissioned films, including 15 animated films from the Vietnam Animation Film Company: "The Chick's Father," "The Gecko Solves the Case," "The Dragonfly's House," "The Tall Guy," "Crocodile Tears," "The Red-Hatted Turtle," the "Golden Calf Knight" series (3 episodes: "The Golden Calf Knight," "A Warm Home," "A Trip"), the "Red-Nosed Cat Warrior" series (3 episodes: "Red-Nosed Cat Warrior," "Red Nose in Love," "The Happy House"), and the "Flying Snail" series (3 episodes: "Impulsive Lightning," "The Journey Home," "A Meaningful Summer Vacation").
In particular, the feature film "Maika - The Girl from Another Planet" (produced by Binh Hanh Dan Co., Ltd.) is being screened on this occasion to serve political and educational purposes and to care for the spiritual well-being of children.

The opening ceremony of the Film Week celebrating International Children's Day (June 1st) in 2026 will be held in Quang Ngai province. In addition to films for general audiences, the province will also screen the animated film "Cricket: The Adventure to the Muddy Village" (produced by CinePlus Joint Stock Company) and the feature film "Flip Face 8: The Embrace of Sunshine" (produced by Ly Hai Production Co., Ltd.) for the local people and children.
